Re: i accidentally drop a water the keypad is not...
It may be no good, but try this.
Remove the battery NOW and place a vacuum as close to the open back of the phone for 10-20 minutes. Repeat for 10 minutes on the front. Put the open phone into a bowl of rice (uncooked of course). Leave it overnight or even 24 hours. Reinstall the battery and recharge the phone.
Don't try to return it to the store as defective. Most phones have a wetness detector inside. They know when it has been soaked.

Usually when the mobile falls into the water you need to remove everything and immediately take it to a service center so that they will wipe it with some petrol. Now it doesnt work since you dropped it in water only. Check it again with a Nokia service provider.
Its seems keypad flex connection is the problem, this is due to some instances like water damage that may result into shortage keypad interface, accidentally dropped the phone to the ground that cause dislocating or need to re-align the flex connector terminal.
Here's a guide
* slide the phone up, on the edges of the whole keypad below, just pill the sticker type cover on keypad, when you see the button if it's dirty, lift up the so called keypad membrane (a circular metal) and clean both interface. Now try it if works.
Otherwise, need to replace keypad flex and it is available to any mobile service shop near you.
Thanks for writing Fixya. I am Marion and let me help you with this.
There are reasons why your phones keypad is not working, first, have you tried re aligning your keypad if it fits exactly on the button, also, you may try pressing the keys without the keypad tofind out if the problem is just on the keypad or on the phones hardware already. Also, the keypads functionality may affect if it had a water spill or had dropped previuosly.
Oh..it is to bad for you but I will try my best to help. okay.:-) so just cool and relax. You said you accidentally lock it and forgot the unlock code right? Here's one thing I want you know, it is the best one to do. Get your phone to the authorized retailer and have it unlock or take it a cellphone repair shop, they probably flash your phone and reprogram it.
sir it may be because accidentally the phone would have made contact with water... my advice is give the set to local service station and change the keypads... hope i have helped you.. thank you sir...
