At start up the comp indicates Plug & play Config Error then prompt F1 OR F2. F2 being setup while F1 says continue. (XP system). Downloads files then indicates it is starting Microsoft but nothing...

F2 Enter Setup (CMOS settings) Use arrow keys to navigate ALL menus. CHANGE NOTHING just look. After you have seen all go back thru and write down any settings you think might apply.
things like: Plug and Play operating System (yes or no); Assign IRQ ( use automatic for all ); Reset Config Data (YES).
Then go back thru again and change settings ONE AT A TIME be sure to make note on paper what you change and old setting and new setting you are testing.
EACH time you change a setting save settings and resume boot.
Is it fixed ?
reboot and enter setup if and change that setting back, Test the settings you think may apply one at a time noting any additional errors or improvements or simply no effect.
Use your intuition, TAKE MOST EXCELLENT NOTES, change only one thing at a time at first being prepared to change it right back if a problem arises.
If you can not get it solved with a CMOS setting you could try setting it up from the beginning. Swap in a new HD, take small watch type battery out of socket on mainboard to power off CMOS chip and thereby clear it's memory. The default CMOS settings will be used. Boot from install CD and install windows all over again on new HD. Once you have a bootable machine in stall old HD as second HD so you can access it to transfer over files you wish to save, then you can erase the old HD by formatting it and have more storage space if you want it or simply remove it.

Pc keep on going back to default setting when shut down

Sorry but I must ask if you are correctly saving your bios settings at the end. Please make sure you are hitting the correct keys to save and exit.

What BIOS do you have? Then I can tell you which keys to save your new setting.

Everything comes on huge.

It might be your setting for display is at the minimum. Just set in slowly for higher setting until you got what that fits for you. On desktop(windows) right click your mouse, then choose personalize/properties, then select display properties. Adjust the setting according to your taste. Also adjust it on your monitor setting if it needs help.

Hope this one help

When ive played a game on my hp 6000 and ive finished and returned back to normal use. It seems as though the graphics on the internet pages are distorted, somewhat bigger than they were before i played...

doent matter what the icon size ur using normally. i vedio game there it has its own resolution size in Vedio setting/graphic setting. when u go to play the game, the game mode will be changed according to the internal game setting, and when u quits then it will come back to its original setting.

2ndly, u talked about the game on ur hp6000. what ur system contains:
its depend upon the VGA card capacity and ur ram too.
u can check what is causing problem in the requirements of the game Readme file .
check and confirm the requirements there
