Hi, I am going to fix my proview monitor but, is the reason you replaced the 25v capacitors with 35v caps because you thing they ran them to tight on specs. I just want to make sre so I don't burn down something else in monitor. Thanks Ray

Please post the pictures, that will help. Do find any fuse in the inverter circuits, if you do have 5v (for logic) and 12v (for backlights), then may be the power supply is OK but I am not sure that the inverter is using 12vdc since you have some caps rated at 35vdc, Iwould expect the inverter to be using 24vdc for backlights. On modern capacitors 2005 or up the capacitors can go bad and not even bulge at the top. I replaced a few in my moms flap panel monitor and found out that there were more that were bad and they didn't show any signs of damage but put your finger on one of those suckers and it burns like a smoking gun.
have a look at the board open up the monitor and remove the boards and you have to look for doomed or colored caps, they will be obvious compared to the good flat caps on the board. replacing these will most likely repair your issues.
You do NOT need a driver. Your monitor is broken. The high voltage power supply that provides power to light the CCFL cold cathode fluorescent lights is broken. The most common problem is that the 470uF 25V capacitors on the power supply circuit board are bad. Bad Caps have a swollen and sometimes leaky top. There are 6 capacitors that cost about 50 cents apiece from www.partsexpress.com . Buy high temperature replacement capacitors rated at 105C. If you can't de-solder and resolder have some 14 year old kid do it for you.
