I got this camcorder 6 or more years ago. At that time DVDs were not that easy to fine and now the ones I had found, I can no longer find. I was useing the Maxell Ram Video, 60 mins. Double sided. 2.8 gb. Ram 4.7 DRMS-V28R I can't find these on line or in the stores now. Is there a new number for these? I am not sure what to use now .. Thanks Jim.

The door might be stuck. Try "helping" it open manually after pressing the eject button. Otherwise, something is probably broken and you might have to call a repairman.

The answer depends on a lot of things. If you plug your cam in and it doesn't make that happy plug and play sound, then it could possibly be your usb port. If your PC recognizes that a USB periphial has been connected but does not install the drivers correctly, then you should make sure that you have the right cam drivers for your operating system. If that has went correctly then there's one more test to see if your pc has recognized the camera. Go to my computer look at all of the drive letters for one that is not there whenever the camera is unpluggedc. If a drive shows up when the cam is plugged in, then it recognized your cam, especially if you can navigate to folders within that are labeled DCIM or RTAV.

some newer model camcorders require u to finalize your disk before it will work on your pc. and you do need the required software for that model. i worked on a couple peeps camcorders and that was just the one step they missed. finalizing.
