After connecting the TV to the computer using S-Video or HDMI cable, right click on your desktop and go to Graphic option or teh Nvidea control panel. From there select your TV which will be displayed in the window. You will get the display in your lcd TV. Let me know if it resolved because I also use the same connection at my home.

Thanks

I recently bought a used Samsung Syncmaster 2253LW monitor with a native resolution of 1980x1050. I installed it in a Windows 7 32-bit configuration with an NVIDIA Quadro 3400/3500 videographics adapter....

You need WINDOWS 7 driver which SAMSUNG does not have:
http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/monitor/lcd-monitor/LS22AQVJFV/XME/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support

Right now the operating system does not know what monitor is being attaching to the PC.
Please verify that the driver for the SAMSUNG you have is for Windows 7. In the hardware propertie, you shuld be able to see 2253 in the list if the correct driver is installed.

That is one of the reson I do not use Windows 7 on my monitor testing PC setup.

Monitor Problem

1. Try using a different media player like k-lite windows media player classic or GOM player.

2. Is the lcd set at it's native resolution ? Set it to native resolution.

3. Has the driver for the lcd been installed and does it show up properly in device manager ? Install the lcd driver if applicable.

4. What are your system's specs, especially graphic card ?

5. Has the latest graphic card drivers been installed ? Install latest drivers.

6. Does using VGA or DVI make any difference ?

7. You would've probably already checked windows media player settings.

Hopefully some of these will solve the problem.

940mw - Compatibility

First thing i would check is your settings. See if windows is reconizing two monitors. If not then you will need to tell it to find it. Hook up your second monitor goto add new hardware and see if windows finds it. If it doesnt find it then i would go to manufactures site for your laptop and see if there are advanced drivers for that particular model of monitor. Also I would look at the manufacures site for advanced settings or technical information. This should solve your problem.
