I have tried EVERYTHING to install Adobe Flashplayer. I have Windows Vista (which I absolutely hate) and have literally tried it all, from Adobe support, to asking friends, to going to Microsoft.com and following all of their suggestions. PLEASE help.

I had the same problem on this computer. After spending hours pulling hair, I discovered a program that I was using to block out nasty software had blocked out flash player. So I unchecked that part of program and now I have flash player running again.

Go to the ADOBE.COM website and download the free FLASH PLAYER program.
You can find this at the following link:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Just click on the underlined text above to get to the ADOBE website.

Follow the onscreen instructions to install this program and this should allow you to view flash animations online.

Thank you for using FIXYA.

Good luck and take care.

You tube vidoes wont load

1) Make sure your Adobe Flash Player is up to date,

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

[ Advise click on the small square to the left of -
Yes, install McAfee Security Scan Plus - optional
,and remove the green checkmark. THEN click on Download now ]

Be advised though, sometimes the new Adobe Flash Player download, will not automatically remove the old Adobe Flash Player version that is installed; and the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller Tool is needed.

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

Go to the bottom of this page. Under the bold subheading -
Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller - click on the blue - Tech Note.

On the following page go down to the subheading -
1. Download the uninstaller for Flash Player -
,and click on - uninstaller - in blue. (674 KB)

In the small window that comes up click on Save File.

Close all internet windows.

In the small download window that comes up next, allow the file to fully download, then DOUBLE-click right on the file name.

When you are finished with the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller, close all windows, restart the computer.
Now go back to Adobe Flash Player Support, and download the new Adobe Flash Player.

2) Make sure your Java is up to date,

http://www.java.com/en/

3) Sometimes I have found, that you have to click on Pause for the video, and allow it to download for a bit, then click on Play.

I can't watch videos on my computer, such as youtube, news, etc. I don't have any problems with Netflix. My computer is 7 yrs old and except for that problem it works just fine

Your computer needs to have Java and Adobe Flashplayer installed in order to watch YouTube videos. You can get Java here:
http://www.java.com/en/

Get Adobe Flashplayer here:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Uncheck the box next to the free Google Toolbar if you don't want it in your browser.
