Try formatting the memory card.
Turn the phone off. Put the card back in, and then turn it on, see if there's any improvement.

u can go for max512 mb..dont go 1 gb as this will hamper the speed of ur mobile..& if u switch to 512 mb..do try to keep all the stuff in memory card rather than sim memory..transfer mostly all the things from phone memory to mem card.This will sort the speed problem of ur mobile
