Voyager 9540 Buzzing

Hello,
When I connect my scanner to my computer the scanner buzzes for a moment and then doesn't scan.  Anything I can do?  It is almost six months old at this point.
Thanks

Does the scanner show a red line to scan with?

If not, it sounds like the motor has failed (they have a motor inside to spin a mirror).

Unfortunately this is terminal for the scanner, but given that it is only 6 months old, it will hopefully be covered by your warranty.

My Plantronics Voyager Legend has a constant buzzing noise, it does not work at all. When I turn it off or on, it does not matter, just a buzzing noise.

I just had this happen to me. Like yours mine just kept buzzing and the on and off switch had no effect. It just kept buzzing.

The way I was able to fix it was to reset the device by holding both the mute button and the call pick up button until the buzzing stopped. It took only 3 seconds to fix and it immediately began to work. When I switched it on the buzzing was gone and it was working again.

I hope this helps anyone as I didn't see and answer to this issue online anywhere and had to figure it out myself. Take care.

Voyager MS9540 scanner...how do I enable code 93?

Go to www.honeywellaidc.com and click on English under North America. In the search bar type in 9540. You should only get one result for Voyager 95X0 Series of Single-Line Laser Scanners. Click on the heading and under the picture on the tab bar choose documents. Under user Guides choose MetroSelect Single-Line Scanner Configuration Guide. On page 14 you will find the barcode to scan "Enable Code 93" . Page 14 is also labeled as 2-6. Good Luck

When i tried to turn on the dryer, i get a humming / buzzing sound and the drum / motor doesn't spin anymore

Hello,
Those symptons (humming/buzzing ¬ starting) are 99 out of a 100 times a sign of a motor that has locked up.

Ms9520 buzzez and then will not scan

Look at your user's guide on Pg 14, here is a online link for it: http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/barcodescannersdiscount/MetrologicVoyagerUG.pdf "Continuous Razzberry Tone with all LEDs off: If, upon power, the scanner emits a continuous razzberry tone, then the scanner has an experienced an electronic failure. Return the unit for repair to an authorized service center." Is the "Razzberry Tone" the low buzzing you refer to(?) Pg 24 has a "Trouble Shooting Guide" take a look at it too.
