Question about Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 Notebook

1 Answer

It doesn't work on battery

I have a 4-years old laptop Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 which I fixed from the classic (dust) overheating problem following the wonderful recipe shown at www.irisvista.com . After that, the laptop only works when connected to the AC mains although I get a green led showing that battery is charged. Have I done something wrong when I fixed the overheating problem? Thanks in advance

Two cans of compressed air can work wonders. I usually use both cans at the same time, just take the laptop outside and spray away. Make sure it's off, of course ;)

My Toshiba A75-S211 overheats and shuts off.

That is common with Toshiba. Check to see if your fans are running. Also, there may be a lot of dust, hair, etc inside the laptop causing it to heat up. I recommend buying a laptop cooler. I got mine for $10 and I never have over heating problems anymore. Hope that helps:)

My Toshiba A75 S211 shot off

the issue is likely thermal shutdown (it got to hot) listen to establish whether the fan(s) are working. you will need to take it apart to gain access to the fan area to clean out the dust and dirt.

    Problem in dealing with laptop

My Satellite A75 was also shutting down unexpectedly. The problem was overheating. I sprayed compressed air into the vent openings on the back of the computer to blow the dust and dirt, and then used a vacuum cleaner on the fans on the bottom to **** it all out. This solved my problem.
