I have a Motorola V365. I bought the Motorola Phone Tools 4 program. I installed it properly. Im using Windows XP Service Pack2 Home Edition. When it tells me to attach my phone via USB, I do that and gets half way through the process of detecting my phone then it locks up and displays an error message about "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services".

go to microsoft site and type service pack2 in search bar and it will give you the link to download.
once that is done restart the comp. and you will have servicepack2/
right click my computer/properties and you will see service pack 2//
second option:- gur.in/download/service pack2 is listed . download from there.
You may need to check to see which "service pack" you are currently on.

Although full qualification with all Digidesign products has not been
completed, we do not recommend against updating to SP1, given the number of important overall system fixes in SP1. We do
recommend that you backup your system and create a restore point before
updating to SP1, should you encounter any problems after installing the
