When I tried to use the reset button today, it felt like it broke through something. Now I'm wondering if the reset button is made of plastic and wears on each push of a pin.

If you are confident with electrical things, you could try what my dad did, he tooked the bottom half with the play/pause+return buttons on it off and managed to get the reset button out, it isn't made of plastic. Maybe it broke off like mine did. He is going to weld[?] it back on.
I wouldn't use a sharp pin either, just use a paper clip.
dolphin1515: Have you tried plugging it in to the computer? It normally turns on when you plug it in.
Another thing i have noticed, it always turns off when i am line-in recording. it is weird.

I have an older creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Extra, and the reset button on that is on the left side at the bottom. There is a very small hole for the reset, and you will have to stick a pin in it and hold it until the unit resets. I don't know if it's in the same place on your model, but it should still be located in a small hole somewhere on your player.

yeah i have the same problem too
I'm having exactly the same problem.
