Hi John.
No idea why your post is under monitor problems ???
I figured you need an adapter mod for a monitor !! SO don't kill my ratings since this is not my area of expertise, but I can try to give you some input anyway, not so much a solution !!.
I would NOT recommend altering a 12 volt adapter for charging a battery especially if it is a standard ac adapter.. You may get it to give you 13.8, but your amps may be wrong.
Battery charger depends on type of battery also. Don't know if you are using NIMH or Nicad or acid based ?
The differnt style batteries use different type chargers. Wrong charger will burn up a battery or blow it up !!
If the battery is a 13.8 then normaly the charger would be putting out 2+- volts more than the battery rating. If you battery is 12 then a 13.8-14 would do the trick. (12 volt car batteries for instance take a 14+ volt source to charge them)
I would recommend looking here
http://www.powerstream.com
They have all those goodies and may give you an idea. for what I think you are doing.

Power Supply Issue - Green LED ON..no power up

tried to disconnected the 24v supply connectors going to the power inverter board which may the cause of voltage drop. after you disconnect then if still no output 24v dc coming from the power supply board the cause will be bad power supply board. check for an open resistance or bad regulators going to the 24vdc out. by the way you should connect all the connectors going to the main board to turn on the processor and the inv_on voltage going to the inverter board.

900 gateway powersuply

This is not good, there is high voltage that is arcing inside the monitor and will eventually fail, if you decide to run it in present state it is a potential fire hazard. My recommendation replace the monitor quickly.

Sir I have Viewsoni VA1716W model LCD monitor But power LED not on I measure SMPS output voltage 12V and 5 Volt are available but power led not glow what to do please give me some tips.

Since the power supply is OK, the next place to check will be the logic board, you need to find out if it is getting the 5vdc feeding it and also check for 3.3v, 1.8vdc, etc voltage regulators on the logic board. So far I cannot find free service manual to download for it.

Need to increase font size without effecting pixel clarity

The first step for optimal readability is to set your PC's graphic output to the native resolution of your monitor.
The Samsung 2033SW is a little unusual in this regard since it provides a matrix of 1600 x 900 pixels, which is not very common.
If your graphics board has DVI output, I'd also make sure to use a DVI cable to connect to the monitor instead of VGA.

Windows XP and above support a font rasterization technology called "ClearType", see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ClearType. This page also provides references to the ClearType tuner PowerToy for XP, which is available to Windows users at no extra charge. Windows 7 has a control panel for ClearType out-of-the-box.

If you still need to increase font size, you can increase it from the Display Control Panel, too, "Medium" font size scales to 125'%, "Large" fonts to 150% the normal size.. Changing the DPI (dots per inch) setting in the monitor control panel cannot be recommended since some software cannot cope with alterations here (dialog boxes or user interfaces with text in wrong places or sticking out of the window... yeeks.)

Voltage and polarity for Hyundai B70A

Hello,

Your monitor needs a 12volt 5amp power supply with + 5,5mm tip. Most universal power supplies will not supply enough amps to power an LCD monitor. If you need an adapter we do have them in stock at:
http://www.ccl-la.com/parts_lcd.htm

I hope this helps, if so please rate this solution.

Bought a refurbished x2gen monitor, sent the wrong power adapter, not sure what one I need. The sticker on the back of the monitor says 12volt 4.0 amp but no hertz do you have any idea

You need to check on the monitor itself. Most of them will normally mention their ratings etc,,now 12v , 4 amps means 12*4 = 48 watts. So you can use a different adapter as long as it matches the power and voltage and it has the applicable connection.

What voltage is the dc adapter?

You will need at least a 4 amp rated regulated 12 Volt power supply.
These are commercialy available from most electronics parts suppliers.
They come on a circuit board. You can mount it in your own case and
use the original Viewsonic wire end. If you do a google search for 12
volt reglated power supplies you should find many of these.

However, with a second-hand Sprint AC adapter with 3A,
12v adapter, the screen blinks on and off
intermittently. Obviously there is some difference here between a class
2 adapter and a power supply box.

Remove the rear cover and adjust the focus control on the flyback. Use a non-conductive probe, available as adjustment tools from any radio shack. On the FBT (Flyback Transformer) you have two protruding adjustments - one marked screen, the other focus. The screen adjustment increases the G2 voltage to the crt and brightens the picture by increasing the voltage exponentially. You don't want to adjust the screen voltage. The other is the focus, you can easily turn that clockwise or counter clockwise and watch the screen to set it at your preference.
Hope this helps.
