Question about HP Compaq 6910p Notebook
I need to replace the keyboard. How can I go about doing this on HP Compaq 6910p?
On the bottom there are 3 screws that have the keyboard emblem on them...loosen them..they will NOT come out..open the notebook, at the top of the keyboard there are little slides that you slide towards you with a screwdriver..they are between the function keys...4 of them...then take something thin like a guitar pick, get between the top of the keyboard and the quick launch button panel...lift the keyboard up..to pivot it, and be VERY CAREFULL not to break the ribbon cable to the keyboard...

There are several screws on the bottom of the laptop. You will need small phillips screwdriver to remove them. Once screws are removed simply insert small flat screwdriver between keyboard and laptop case and lit it out. remove cable and replace. Very simple.
