If it is this pocket watch, then the crown (the bit you turn to wind the watch) has 3 positions. Position 1 is when the crown is pushed in all the way. Position 3 is when the crown is pulled out as far as it will go. In between position 1 and position 3 is a place where the crown will stop, this is position 2. To set the day of the week, pull the crown out to position 3 to set the time. When you set the time, the bottom dial with also turn to set the hour on the 24 hour clock, if you turn the crown enough to cycle through a whole day the day of the week dial will also turn. Keep turning the crown until the time is set on the proper day of the week. To set the date, pull the crown out to position 2, and turn it clockwise until the hand on the date dial points to the correct date. Hope this helps!
One of the dials should be seconds so you won't be setting that, the other two should be day and date, when you pull the stem and crown all the way out you can set the time there is a halfway setting ( pull the stem halfway out) if you turn one way it's the day of the week the other way is the date. Hope this helps! Also what appears to be a second hand on the dial a lot of times is actually a stopwatch.
TO SET TIME AND DATE, PUSH SIDE BUTTONS TOGETHER OR AT SAME TIME TO MAKE THE SCREEN OR FACE OF WATCH APPEAR WITH ITS TIME OR DATE, THEN GO TO OTHER SIDE BUTTONS TO GO UP OR DOWN ON THE TIME OR DATE UNTIL YOU GET TO THE PROPER TIME AND DATE. THEN GO BACK TO FIRST BUTTONS YOU PUSHED AND PUSH THEM ONCE MORE TO GET OUT OF THE SETTING MODE.
mcdevito75 here, It takes practice, the crown does have 2 positions, slip a fingernail just under the crown and lift to it"s first position this will allow you to change the DATE (number) once you get the correct Date, push tje crown back in, NOW! pull the crown out to set the DAY itself and the time. On some watches the crowns first position allows both the day and date to be changed by turning the crown in it"s first position clock wise and counter clock wise.
for a watch face that has a day of week, date, and moon calendar: There are two click points on the set-pin. pull out 1 click to access date/moon calendar; spin clockwise to set the moon calendar. spin counterclockwise to set date.
pull out pin 2 clicks to set time, just like any other watch
