I can't get my DVD disc to eject. It will play but won't eject? Any suggestions

I tried both the remote and the eject button. Neither will eject the disc. The VCR works fine. It clicks like its trying to eject but doesn't.

You should try unplugging the DVD player from its power source then plugging it back in. Now try to open it and if that doesn't work than you'll probraly have to take it apart to get the disk out but sometimes the DVD players can get worn out or if you have a cheaper DVD player it might just be freezing up on you. I have had these problems before. I just took the DVD player apart to get my disk and then trashed it.

Akai dvdplayer dvps760 won't turn of/on nor will the ejectiob mechanism work with remote control. All other dvd functions work with remote

Hello
Check the remote contro for infrared light radiation, when you press eject and power buttons. If there is no such infrared light rays, your remote need cleaning. If there is infrared rays emits, and still the player wont eject the disc inside, check its loader mechanism
To know how to clean the remote control, get into my blog. Type in "electronicshelponlin(dot)blogspot(dot) com" in the address bar of your borwser, and press enter to get in to the blog. Just put (.) in pace of (dot), I've specified here.

Can you use the dvd player without a remote

This is one of the worst thing that has happened with manufacturers trying to save cost by cutting down the number of buttons on a player ( also due to the slim profile for the player ). There are only basic keys like play, stop , eject and power on most of the new players. No navigation key or advanced functions like OK/Enter etc: with out which some DVD's won't even play.

The dvd player will not read the disc

If it won't read any disc you put in, consider getting a new DVD player, the eye is most likely gone bad. If it is only one disc that you can't read i would suggest a Scotch DVD Cleaner kit. Cleans and Repairs discs, helps prevent skipping and mistracking, and repairs minor surface scratches improving disc audio and image quality.

2006 Toyota Sienna with an ADVENT DVD

Well, if its crammed in there from kids shoving stuff in there as kids will tend to do sometimes, then i am sorry to say, you most likely will need to get a new player. Cause general when something is jammed into disc slot, other components that are vital to operation have been compromised. But on the other hand. If it was working and operating fine one minute, and the next it simply just wouldn't eject. Your problem is one of the 2. Is the player making any noise as if it is trying to eject the disc but will not, and can you still at least play the disc and watch it since its already in there? If so. It sounds like you have a bad gear or a little spring that has popped that engages the gear to make the mechanism for disc ejection impossible. Or the main drive belt has dried and broke. Take it to a local tech. 2nd. If its not making any noise when eject button is pressed. The button itself might be bad. Try the remote controls eject button. If it has one, that might eject the disc. Hope this helps. And in tghe future, no paper clip tricks okay. Only damage can occure with that method. good luck,

Dvd player will not open disc, display lock

Sound like it either has one or two problems, the door is stuck and or the door eject motor has failed. Look in the front to the player for a small paperclip like hole, and use a paper clip to manual eject the and engage the loading mechanism usually located under the door for most cases. Check you manuals troubleshooting section for manually ejecting a CD..

Dvd-r problems

Unplug your AC power cord for a minimum of 30 seconds to clear the RAM. The RAM is used solely for dvd class history, and clearing this should solve your issue. If you want to convert your player to region free, which will allow you to play ANY dvd: 1 Disconnect your player from its power source for thirty seconds 2) Reconnect your player to its power source 3) Press the Power On button on your remote control 4) Press the Enter button on your remote control 5) Press the 8 button on your remote control 6 Press the 4 button on your remote control 7) Press the 2 button on your remote control 8) Press the 6 button on your remote control 9) Press the 9 button on your remote control 10)Press the Enter button on your remote control 11)Your player should now place itself in Standby mode 12)Press the Power On button on your remote control A word of caution if your convert your player is that disc eject issues may arise in which you will have to eject from the unit, or toggle your power switch on/off.....good luck my friend.
