I have a Cannon Powershot SD 450 Digital Elph camera that started giving me problems when you turn it on it starts up and then beeps and sutsdown giving me a e18 error at this point the thing is not worth a sh_T and I am looking for help with software that might reset it or anything that could work.

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

Canon PowerShot SD 630 Digital Elph "Memory Card Error"

Hi,
I'm sorry to tell that PowerShot SD 630 does not support SDHC cards over 2 gig.
If you want the camera to take a card over 2 gig then you are stuck standard SD cards.
The other camera does support the card because it's a higher model.

flash may have been dislodged and out of true. or may be the lens is out of alignment or a shutter blade is not functioning. Dropping them sure does them no good at all. Into the repair shop with it
