Well, Thank you for your info. I have a copy of the manual. What it doesn't have is a diagram of the buttons. I don't know which button does what. Is there any way I can get that info? They are all blank...

It lists the error conditions, describes the possible causes, and provides steps to resolve the conditions. Description of the control panel The control panel contains two lights and one lighted button. Patterns of light indicate printer status.Figure 1: Location of control panel c00007297.jpg 1 - Ready light 2 - Go button and light 3 - Attention light Figure 2: Light conditions c00007298.jpg 1 - Light off 2 - Light on 3 - Light blinking The following table explains the lights on the control panel. • Lower the resolution. See the User Guide for information about understanding print quality settings and changing print quality settings.
  • Add more memory. See the User Guide for information about installing DIMMs (HP LaserJet 1300 series only).
If the problem persists: Attention state Light pattern c00007302.jpg Description The printer is in an error state that requires operator intervention or help. The door is open, the media is out, the printer cartridge is installed incorrectly, or the media is jammed. Action
  1. Check that the printer cartridge door is completely closed.
  2. Load media into the correct input tray.
  3. Check that the print cartridge is correctly installed in the printer. (See the user guide for information about changing the print cartridge.)
  4. Check for any media jams and clear them. (See the user guide for information about clearing jams.
  5. Check that the left side panel is completely closed. If the left side panel is completely closed, open the left side panel and push the door sensor. Occassionally, if the left side panel appears closed, the sensor will still remain in the open position, generating this error. Pushing the sensor will shut the door tight, returning the printer to the normal mode.

All lights blinking Deskjet F2180

Welcome to FixYa!

I assume that the "Start Copy Black" light and "Start Copy Color" light is also blinking.
The product has a fatal error or the scanner bar is unable to move.

Reset the printer:
  1. With the power on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  4. Press the Power button to turn on the product.
  5. Wait until the Power light stops blinking. The reset is then complete.

Solution two: Make sure that the control panel overlay is installed correctly If the control panel overlay, or bezel, is incorrectly installed, the product might indicate a false error condition. If the product has not been set up before, ensure correct installation of the control panel overlay. NOTE:
If you already installed the control panel overlay, and your printer has been working for some time, do not attempt to reinstall the overlay. Press firmly on the overlay to ensure proper installation of the overlay adhesive or pins.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.
Keep me posted.

John, I have provided the detailed information in simple steps and I request you to perform them step by step in a sequential manner. However, if you find any difficulty at any point of time in performing these steps, reply to this e-mail and I will respond to you right away.
Step 1: 0x error Weblink
--------------------------------
I request you perform the steps given below in the weblink to resolve the issue.

Step 2: Cleaning the Rollers
--------------------------------
I request you perform the steps given below in the weblink to clean the rollers.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bpu01831&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=421991#N592
NOTE: Clicking the link above may give an error indicating it is invalid. If this occurs, copy the portion of the address on the remaining line(s) and paste it at the end of the address showing in your browser until the complete address is displayed in the Address box.
Now, check the functionality. This should resolve the issue. If the issue persists, please perform the steps below.
Step 3: Ensure correct installation of the front panel overlay
--------------------------------------------------------------
If the front panel overlay, or bezel, is incorrectly installed, the product may indicate a false carriage stall error condition. If the product has not been set up before, ensure correct installation of the front panel overlay by following the instructions below. If the front panel overlay is already installed, and your printer has been working for some time, do not attempt to re-install the overlay. Press firmly on the overlay to ensure proper installation of the overlay adhesive or pins.
NOTE: If the front panel overlay is already installed, proceed to the next step.
  1. Position the control panel overlay above the device. Figure 1: Positioning the control panel overlay c00227677.gif

    • If the issue is not resolved , continue to the next step.

Step 4: Connect the All-in-One unit directly to wall outlet
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If the power cord was plugged into a surge protector, plug the power cord directly into a wall power outlet. In some cases there are too many devices plugged into surge suppressors or the suppressor may be defective. Replace any defective surge suppressor or move some devices onto a different circuit.
Now, check the functionality of the All-in-one. If the issue persists, please perform the steps below.
Step 5: Power Cycle
------------------------
Power cycle the unit to remove electrical surges from All-in-One.
1. Unplug the power supply from the wall outlet.
2. Unplug the power supply from the back of the printer.
3. Wait at least 20 seconds, then plug in the supply back into the wall outlet.
4. Plug in the power supply back into the printer.
5. Press the power button to turn the printer on.
Step 6: Semi Full Reset
---------------------------
Note:
A semi-full reset will do the following:
The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models, Fax logs, Fax headers, Fax speed dial information.
Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.
2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.
Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.
Now, check the functionality. If the issue persists, I regret to inform you that the issue you are experiencing is most predictable to be a hardware issue that cannot be resolved through e-mail and the unit needs to be serviced or replaced.
John, I wish to know whether the information provided in the E-mail assisted you to address the issue.
If you experience any difficulty in performing the steps, I request you to write back to us with the observations. We are here round the clock to serve our esteemed customers like you.
Have a Nice Day.
Sincerely,
Chris

Hp 1350 all-in-one

When power is applied to the all-in-one for the first time, the power light is solid and the check paper, check print cartridge, black copy, and color copy lights flash, the display will be blank, and the all-in-one will not respond. One or more of the following symptoms will also be observed: The all-in-one keeps turning off Cannot print, scan, or copy The print carriage will not move Windows plug and play (device detection) does not occur The all-in-one does not respond when buttons are pressed, including the power button. SOLUTION: This problem occurs for two reasons: the front panel cover was not installed or the ink cartridge access door was not closed before plugging in the all-in-one. The front panel overlay must be correctly installed before the power cord is plugged in. Follow the steps below to correct the problem: Disconnect the power cord. Lift the scanner lid and carefully line up and install the front panel overlay. Plug the power cord in. The print cartridge access door must be closed before the all-in-one is plugged in for the first time. The all-in-one cannot complete its first initialization until the door is closed. Follow the steps below to correct the problem: Disconnect the power cord. Locate and close the print cartridge access door. CAUSE: The all-in-one initializes when it is plugged in for the first time. While initializing, the all-in-one scans a bar code on the under side of the front panel cover requiring that the front panel cover be in place and that the scanner be operable. The scanner cannot operate when the cartridge access door is open On light (green) - On Check Paper light (amber) - Blink Simultaneously Check Print Cartridge light (amber) - Blink Simultaneously Black copy area backlight (green)- Blink Simultaneously Color copy area backlight (green) - Blink Simultaneously Issue Front panel overlay is not attached at all or not attached properly Solution Turn Off the all-in-one. Sorry, your problem description in the Subject got truncated. Can you please repeat it here? All that appeared is, "200L is stuff in duplexing and jamming someone put..." The Interrupt button not working, that could be either the membrane or switch beneath the button is worn, or there's another button stuck and interfering with it.
