Try disabling and re enabling the mouse. Else reinstall the mouse driver. If it still fails you may need to reinstall your OS or get the ports checked.

Supermicro SuperServer 5013G-M - PS2 error

Hello here is the homepage:

Is your Mouse a USB mouse or is it a HYBRID Mouse? Look at the bottom of mouse and see what is written. It should give you the: (1-) Name (2-) Model Number & it will either say: "USB Mouse" or "USB 2.0 and PS2 Compatible". If it is USB 2.0 and PS2 Compatible, then it is a HYBRID MOUSE - You should have a - USB to PS2 - Adapter that came with the mouse.

Use that adapter and plug into the PS2 Mouse port - (only if it is a HYBRID). It will automatically configure itself as a PS2 mouse. Now you will have both your Input devices set as PS2.

(2) - If it is a USB mouse, can you obtain a PS2 mouse to temporarily use? If you can; try using the PS2 Mouse Port?

Now you may have to set BIOS on - with regard to:
(1) - Legacy USB Support -(Either Support or Disable)
(2) - USB settings to what Motherboard supports

Try also to upgrade the drivers/bios, if nessesary.

Good luck

Why can't I change pages on

1. It could be with their page views. Notify them.
2. If your using a PS2 mouse, change to a USB mouse.
3. Or buy a new PS2 mouse.

I have a computer that hates a PS2 mouse but works great with either a sserial or usb mouse.

USB Keyboard and mouse wont work with PS2 KVM with adapter

Have you tried rebooting once it is connected? Not sure if it makes a difference, but I know you can not hook up PS2 peripherals without rebooting.

Ps2 port doesn't recognize Microsoft Optical mouse

You might think about a USB hub for all your USB devices. ps2 port is more or less dedicated for mouse, which is why your mouse pointer is stuck in the middle of the screen. Go ahead and get an externally powered USB Hub to power other USB devices. To answer, ps2 for mouse needs just a mouse, not USB device.

My mouse doesn't move but keyboard works.

What type of mouse do you use? USB or PS2 connector mouse.? If you're using usb connector mouse, change it to PS2 connector mouse. Start your pc/laptop. When you're in the OS, plug out the PS2 mouse and then plug in the usb connector mouse. Restart you pc/laptop. Is it ok now?
