If its a blank screen all the time that never shows anything not even a screen at startup then it sounds like the internal cable from your monitor to the motherboard of the laptop is unplugged or possibly broken. You need to remove the keyboard from the laptop to check this.

I recommend bringing the laptop to a professional if you have no experience with opening laptops.

I have an HP compaq presario cq71-230sa. Laptop worked fine a few hours before, and then when I lifted the lid, the screen was black with 2 lines of white dots running down the left hand side, and the...

Can you check the function buttons and make sure the primary display is set to show the output on the laptop. Try repairing your OS. If not then re-install the os. As you are saying till the time windows gets loaded, all works fine so it seems the issue isn't really the hardware.

Tc1100 Blank Screen

You have identified your problem/fault by plugging in an external monitor and the image is OK. This proves the video card is OK and the fault could be the inverter or most likely the CCFL lamp.
The flickering screen indicated the CCFL lamp is faulty, it is a mini fluro tube which provides the back-light to the LCD. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp. It could be faulty and it is easier to replace.

Blank LCD screen on Compaq n800c laptop

First instinct would tell me that your LCD has gone bad. A refurbished replacement LCD should run around $300-$325 give or take.

Monitor goes blank after seeing XP during boot up.

did u replace the video card with the same kind of model ? i guess yes ... when system starts hit the f8 key and than go in to safe mode ... mouse wont work so use arrow on the keyboard .. and in the safe mode just log in to admin account if available or login to ur account and see if that still happens .. and if it doesnt ... remove the drivers for the graphic card from add and remove programs and restart the system and go in the normal mode and than install the drivers again ... and if the display disappears in the safe mode or u have install a different graphic card than ... reseat the memory cards and that should resolve the issue .... if that doesnt work out when the system starts hit f1 and stay on the BIOS screen for 30 mins if the system doesnt loose display than u need to reinstall OS ... that will surely work out ... the resolutions given above if u follow them correctly u will have a working system in no time

reboot the system by pressing F8 if your using windows OS and select last good configuration.

you can try also selecting Enable VGA mode (press F8 while rebooting and select ENABLE VGA mode).

EVO N600c starts up fine but when when its time to sign in nothing on screen just blank

Both of you, what did you do before the restart? If you changed anything while in Winblows it seems likely it is a software related issue. If you didn't, then a hardware issue is possible, in which case I'd start by unplugging the non-essential peripherals and restart. If that doesn't work, also try a different power supply and disconnect the battery. Sometimes a bad peripheral can cause the boot up sequence to hang. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a weak psu can undersupply power to the harddrive causing the operating system to fail to boot. But, you probably have tried these ideas so they may not be of much help. Oh well, good luck!
