Cidco Caller ID Box- Model # JA-25A-18.

Hi, to whomever this may concern-
Would any of you have directions to share on how to set the date & time for the above...good old tech, caller ID box? i have found that by holding the delete button for about 10 seconds, there is what looks like menu screens. They start with No Calls, next is SELECT-MEM and MODE and then to the option for the display of callers, either 25 number + name or 64 number only.
Thank You for any & all assistance that you can give me towards this fortunately patient troubleshoot i have here....C.S.

When a call is received it will automatically set the time and date. To change the display contrast hold down the 'delete' button while toggling one of the other buttons. Hold the delete button down until the 'select, mem, mode' is displayed and choose between '25 name & number' or '64 numbers' . Make sure the batteries are good and the batt indicator in top left corner of display is off. I think that is all the features this early model unit was capable of.

Describe your cidco cw99 caller id+ user manual Problem I want to delete old data, set all to 0 calls. I don't have a user manual ! Thanks.

Hi drkossvt,

The way to erase all calls on the cidco cw99 caller ID is to arrow into the caller ID list and hold the Delete button for about 6 seconds. The screen will display "- NO CALLS -"
Note: it does not matter which Caller ID entry you arrow to before you hold the Delete button. This also works if you are on the "- END OF LIST -" screen.
If you want to delete a single call, arrow to that call and press the Delete button twice.

It's asking for your "ID" to give you access to installer programming. You do NOT want to get into installer programming, so ignore it. You don't need an "ID" to change the battery.

The battery is secured to the backplate of the control, the part that remains on the wall when you swing the control panel down after opening it. The givaway is that it's connected to the panel by two wires, red and black. They can be pulled off the battery's tabs and you should be able to see how flexible tabs hold the battery onto the backplate. Bend the tabs just enough to release the battery to change it.

Look online for a battery supplier near you; it's not an uncommon battery. Take it with you to be sure you get the right replacement.

And be mindful to get the red(+) and black(-) wires back on their proper battery terminals when you install the new one. Getting them mixed can cause severe damage to your wallet.

Need to change access code, but need ID. Is it on the main unit

Normally the default codes are either 4321,or 1234.

If those don't work you should try a reset by. first unplugging the red wire behind the system and unplugging the ac adapter. Then you press at the same time the "cancel button" "clock set button" and the "minute plus button" while plugging it in. After that the code should be either 4321, or 1234.

SHR-2082 RECORDING TIME ZONE FROZEN!

David,

try setting the time to something different (Like a day and hour from the current setting) than the current time and see if that come up if so then set the system to the current time and date and check again, if that solves your problem great if not reset your system and reprogram it.

•Factory Reset Hidden Key :
Mode Key + CH 2
•The Password and all setting
value will return to the initial
default value.
•Default Password is ‘4321’ .
