Bike will not start because alarm will not deactivate

I own a 2003 road king harley, and the 10,00 mile check done on it and rode the bike home, approx 6 miles, I had gone on a long trip form Wa state to Vegas and back the bike got pretty dirty so when I got home from the shop I decided to wash the bike up, I had done this before but after getting it all cleaned up and wiped down decided to go for a ride and blow and water that may be hiding in the cracks and then wipe it down again, the bike would not start, the only thing that was happening was the alarm light were blinking and the key light would flash, tried to deactivate with my key ring alarm but no luck, so I went and got a new battery and the same no luck, lights flash, key light blinks and will not start, not even a spark, so did I amy have shorted something out the bike has been sitting for 5 days and still will not start. Thanks Jim

Another common problem. Open transmitter, remove battery - there's a small tang dead center under battery. I think it's bent down. Use small screwdriver bend upward to act as spring against battery. Reinstall battery and cover. That should do it! Works for 80% of transmitters. Otherwise you have to take it to a dealer and they'll put it on the digital tech and relearn your code to your moduel, but battery trick works most of the time. It gets bent down being in pockets and getting the button pushed. Let me know if this worked.

2008 road king classic(FLHRCI) has fob alarm problem. I have insert code 31313 and did not have able to reset or disarm. Charged battery full. please help

You may need to take the bike to a dealer and if they can get the alarm deactivated then re-program the fob and reset the PIN otherwise you need a new TSM/TSSM and have the fob assigned and a new PIN assigned.

No spark at spark plugs and coil has tested good, there is sufficient current at pick up off the cam as well, bike ridden through hard rain and started acting up during ride and eventually shut down 10...

Sounds like the water got in somewhere crucial and is preventing the components from telling the coil to spark.

Don't laugh now, but try hitting any suspect areas with WD-40. I recently learned the WD stands for water displacing. It was initially invented as something that could remove water. But it is flammable so exercise caution.

This is surely frustrating and thankfully it doesn't happen often to Harleys. I sure hope you find the source and get it sealed.

I rode with a group of 15 bikes from south WI to the eagle rehab place up in Minnesota. It rained on us for almost 90 minutes but not one bike quit running. So, when things are sealed as they should be, Harleys can run in the rain.

Hope you get this solved and get back on the road.

Harley won't start.

A harley AGM battery are usaully good for three to five years the best thing to do is have the battery load tested. Now as far as your problem now depending on the batterys state of charge the solenoid will click or not.Because you store it alot you should keep a trickle charger on the battery
