Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

Not printing I installed a new cartridge, and now I can't print. The printer isn't receiving the info from the computer.Everything is on.

Go to the printer properties and make sure there is no print in the queue. once the queue is empty restart your computer. Also turn off and then turn on the printer. Make sure the printer is also set as a default printer and is showing as 'ready' under the printer and faxes window. If you still have the same problem reinstall the printer.

I have a lexmark x1240 and just installed a new cartridge. I keep getting an error message that says " print cartridge missing" install print cartridge even though both cartridges are in the printer.

If you insert the old cartridge, does it recognize it? If it does, then it's a problem with the new cartridge. Try to check if you already have taken out the protective tapes out of the cartridge.

If it still doesn't recognize the old cartridge, then it's a problem with the printer.

Check to make sure that you don't have greyscale selected in printing options. That will make everything print in white and black. If they isn't the issue check your color ink cartridge.

I recently replaced my ink cartridges for my Lexmark X2500 with brand new ones, Lexmark brand, I inserted them and followed instructions and now it still tells me that it can not print that I need new...

  • Open up the "Printer Solution Center." If there is no icon on your desktop for your Lexmark printer, click on the "Start" menu button, which is located at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Click on "All Programs," and then look for "Lexmark." Select the "Printer Solution Center.

    Choose "Install a new printer cartridge" under the "Maintenance" tab.

  • Click on "Next" until you see the "Print the Alignment page" option, then choose "Print."

  • Repeat steps 1,2 and 3 if the ink level gauge still isn't showing sufficient ink.

    Installed new black ink cartridge, message keeps coming up that I need a new cartridge. I have cleaned, restarted my computer, everything I can think of. It still will not print. The message says to...

    Even new cartridges can prove to be faulty; even more so ones that have be refilled. If you have exhausted the options in the print software (i.e. Test Print, Print Alignment, Head Cleaning, etc.) and the reseating of the cartridge a few times, then depending on your will for either try:
    1. Go to the store and replace the cartridge telling them you think its faulty.
    2. Firstly, Unplug the Printers connecting cable (USB, DB25, etc.).Then uninstall both the Printing software and Printer drivers (usually the same package) under "Add Remove Programs" (Windows OS). Restart the computer, then reinstall the Printer software (following the prompts on exactly when to reconnect the printer to the computer, *Important*), and then restart again.

    Deskjet printer cartridge problem - won't print

    I was having the same problem and just posted it, went back to my printer, put the old cartriage back in and printed, I am taking the refilled cartriage back to walgreens where I had it filled and buying a new/hp cartriage to install.

    The printer doesn,t print

    Check the printer on your computer to see that the file for printing has been received by the printer
    and is ready for printing. (Go to start settings printer and left click on the name of the printer).

    Check all wire connections.
    Is it the correct cartridge?
    Is the ink flowing from the outlet in the cartridge. Check with soft damp tissue.
    Have you done a test run with the new cartidge (Go to start settings printer and right click properties... then cartridge maintenance)

    If this does not work..
    If necessary disconnect and delete software for printer.
    Then follow instructions for installation again and reconnect printer.

    Failing all this go to support at the manufacturers site for the printer.

    TLP 2742 printer only prints out left side of the tag??

    either your ink level is low or empty , or you might be having a problem with the wire strip that goes to the printer head, or even a faulty ink cartridge ( you can only get so many prints on each ink cartridge) how lomg have you been printing on the cartridge? have you tried to clean the cartridge?

    Lexmark X1100 printer will not print black

    I came up with a work around for printing black.

    I changed the black cartridge with the color cartridge.
    Then when I have a letter to print, I change change (or write) the letter text to yellow, red or blue.
    Then I can print out a letter.

    By printing the text as yellow, red or blue the cartridge will try to print with only 1 color, but will print out black.

    If you do not use one of these primary printing colors the out put will be unusable.

    I can not of course print out pictures.

    Printer says cartridges full, computer says cartridges empty even though i have bought and installed new cartridges

    Printer connection had come out of the computer port and I hadn't noticed, printer itself is stand alone so was printing photos OK but I couldn't print documents. Everything up and running once again and both printer and computer say cartridges are full.
