Question about Jetway V266B Motherboard
Heop I had a emachine which brunt out. Someone put a new mother board Jetway vt8366 8233. Now my sound is very low. I download a new driver realtek ac 97. Still very low. help please
Most of the time that I have seen this is when the old system did not require amplified ( powered ) speakers, because the amplification was done on the motherboard or sound card.
The new motherboard requires the use of amplified ( powered ) speakers.
If the speakers you are using do not have a power button/switch and a volume control, then you will need to replace your speakers.
you can probably get replacement amplifed speakers for as little as $10 at radio shack, and upwards of $200 if you want to turn your pc into an entertainment center, so it is all a matter of how much you want to spend and the quality of the sound you want to hear.
My suggestion is that if you just want to hear " you've got mail".. etc.. just get some cheap speakers and you will be fine.
Please take a moment to rate this solution...
