Zen will turn on but the all I get is a white screen. All the files are intact but can operate the zen. Help!
I was just wondering how long you've had the Zen for? I was thinking about getting one but I read tons of reviews on Amazon and all the negitive ones state that after about 3 months of use the got the white screen of death. All the good reviews only had the zen for about a month or less.
I tried Solution #1 above but it did not work for me.
I had the same problem with my Zen. I *downgraded* the firmware in mine to 1.03.04 and it seems to have fixed it. Per the Creative website, I first tried upgrading it to 1.20.02 and it only seemed to make it worse. I tried their recovery procedures to no avail.

Turns on but no access to files on the hard drive - complete dodo/dead
i have the same problem the only time it works is on the charger and when i take it of it keeps turning on and off over and over again
