You could but keep in mind that the screen is worth 2/3rds the cost of the TV. It would be logical to purchase a new TV that would have a new warranty. You won't find many, if at all, manufacturers that cover broken screens unless the crack is in the side and it's determined it's a manufacturers defect and not misuse and abuse.
