Can any one recommend to me a case that the A7v will work with and
everthing fit properly?
Im having trouble getting the PC TEL AMR modem to fit in the bottom of
the case
and the bottom 5.25 drive bay seems too close to the board to house any
drives.It's
a generic 4 5.25 &3 3.5 mid tower case.Thanx Dick

Supermicro makes some nice cases. I always use a full tower case for
airflow and logistics reasons, and the SuperMicro 760a works very nicely.
You can get it with a 300w or 400w power supply...both with redundent power
supply cooling. There is a backup fan in the power supply that engages if
the main fan fails or the temp gets to high. This case also comes standard
with TWO additional high quality case fans, and mounting brackets for 7
more...yes 7.
I just built two systems with this case consisting of the asus a7a 266
mb with 1.33ghz 266 fsb tbird . I didn't fill all of the fan mounting
brackets...I'm only using six case fans plus the power supply and cpu fans,
but my cpu registers at 35 degrees C almost all of the time...which is a
good 8 to 10 degrees cooler then most of the other posters are reporting. I
have the 300 watt power supply and the systems have been totally stable
with it.

In article <>,
says...
I like the Enlights as well--their server cases I find to be superb.
OTOH, the front panel they put on some models is pretty poorly thought
out, with little ventilation.
The last system I put together I used one of the Antec Precision series
cases SOHO server cases. Very nice case--for something with 3 fans it's
remarkably quiet, and has plenty of ventilation. 4 internal 3-1/2"
bays, 2 exposed 3-1/2, 4 exposed 5-1/4, with rails, and a front cover
that locks.
Also comes with a power supply that's on the AMD approved list for all
models of Athlon.

Well I have the Enlight EN-7238 and it's great. Nice design, roomy, airflow
is fine. (a7v + tbird 800 @ 26/41C) And it comes with a 300w PSU. Although,
yes, when the front panel is off the power/reset buttons are indeed a bitch.

It also only has THREE 3.5' drive bays which is way to few if you run a raid
array.

I'm in the process of dumping an Enlight 7237 due to poor air intake. As
far as I'm concerned, it's a very poor case for T-Birds in general and I
will never get another one. I have to leave my front bezel off to get
decent air intake in front (I've already removed the metal grillwork). I
guess that I could modify the front bezel to allow more airflow, but that
would ruin the look (one of the few redeeming features of this overrated
case) of the case itself and lower whatever resale value it now has. Trying
to use the reset or power buttons with the front bezel removed is a big
hassle unless you have the small fingers of an 8 year old. I would avoid
them like the plague.

I just love the Enlight MidTower Cases. Everything has brackets that allow
for sliding
the components in and out without unscrewing anything but the motherboard.
Usually comes with a 300watt PS. On average, I pick these cases up at the
computer tradeshows for around $55.

Try an In-Win S500 case
You can check it out at this link:
#
You might want to upgrade the 250 watt power supply to 300 or better if you
like.
