If the final flyback is ok ,then check the driver transistor and the voltage in his collector .Probably the flyback transformer is ok.please reply.

I have a 2000 Sony KP-53HS10 color rear video projector, Just yesterday it turned off in the middle of watching it and the timer/standby light merely blinks. When I unplug it and replug it in, the same...

Good day!!!

That problem is usually have 2 causes..Its either power supply board or mainboard..

Please take this steps on how to determine the problem:
  1. Open the back cover.
  2. Check the power supply output...It should have 5vdc for the main board..12vdc or 16vdc for the audio and 24vdc for the back-light inverter..
  3. If those 3 voltage supplies have encountered voltage drop...The problem could be on power supply board..
  4. If the power supply output is normal..The problem could be on the main board...
  5. If the problem is power supply you should check if the capacitors are bulged on the top and try to replaced it..If you can't do that you can purchased new power supply board..
  6. If the problem is on main board there is no D.I.Y repair on that so you need to buy a new main board that fits to your TV..
Hope thissolution will be helpful..

Thanks for using fixya...

When i go to turn my tv on all it does is blink that it is in standby mode. The individual i got it from had a surround sound system hooked up to it and i dont know if they have a remote. They are looking....

The first thing you need to do is to check whether your power supply is working well.
To do this, you need to open the back cover of your tv.
You can immediately reach the power supply. Test the power output using a multitester. There must be an output of 5v,12v, and 24v.
24v is for the screen to lit up.
5v is for the the cpu supply.
12v is for the audio...
You can repair the power supply if it is not functioning or buy a new power supply.
To repair the power supply repace the regulator transistor, the opto isolator, the ic that gives the signal to the opto isolator and check for open resistor near the regulators.

I hope this will help.

Two lines appearing and moving up and down on my Pana 14"color tv

Hello, This is called 60cycle hum and it is caused by the 60Hz signal of the power supply "leaking" into the video circuitry. It is caused by a faulty filter capacitor. and can be seen by using an oscilloscope. I would suggest that you take the TV to a qualified TV technician for servicing, because this type of repair is not for the do it yourself person. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

Tv keep going on standby when you turn it on

tv goes into standby all the time if a power supply is not fine, what happens is that a power supply produces two voltages, one small one powers a standby components and bigger voltage powers a line transformer which later produces more small voltages,
then later cancels the first small voltage.

chec your power supply semi conductors like, transistors, diodes and small value resistors, on your power supply. some power supply uses a IC to oscillate a ht. so check a supply at a w/shop.

TV turn off and problem with red colour

the problem is in your color circuit and power supply make checks in those areas check the power supply regulator, diodes, cap ,and resistors.in the color circuit replace your color ic.then you can do resoldering of the components in the those same circuit, this will contain your problem good luck.
