Joe,
In most cases the shutdown in those units is due to convergence not the digital module. Check the foil side of the convergence Ic's 801 and 802 for ring cracks in their connection to the board. You may need to replace them if you don't find a ring crack problem or re-soldering doesn't work.

Find the dm board

If the set constantly blinks (attempts to boot DM up) try something else first---pull front speaker grill off and remove inspection plate behind it--note the bundle of wires coming down from front controls--follow to right and down---unplug the two inline plugs and see if set turns on--remote will still function with plugs undone.

If set works DM is ok and you have a problem on the keyboard--bad reset microswitch.

The DM as seen from the rear is the LARGE metal box on the far left side of the chassis.

It has several numbered plugs and plugs into the board beneath it.

I tried the solution SD Tech offered about ht eblinking green light unhooked the clips in the front of the TV, but the remote will still not work. It did not correct the problem. Who should I contact about...

Try the 2nd solution SD Tech gave you...
"If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---the receiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail in that unit."
If you know how to solder I would totally suggest that you repair the set yourself. Don't get in over your head, but you will save yourself a ton of money and gain somewhat of an understanding of how tvs operate.
The green light blinks while the DM board initializes the tv. If the DM board can't initialize it keeps blinking and this is usually caused by blown/bulging capacitors on the Dm board.

Power light flashes.

The dm board is located inside the vertical metal case on the left side when viewing the tv2.gif from the back side.

Have you tried disconnecting the front panel on the tv? There are 2 plugs that go into the board and sometimes there is a faulty switch on there which causes your problem.

Yea capacitors need to be tested with a multimeter. The don't have to look bad to be bad.

If they are bad you can fix it yourself.

There is a guide with pictures to help you.

It is easily fixable for about $10 worth of capacitors

Or a whole kit with all tools needed for $36

Dm board (power supply) for mitsubishi rear projection tv (ws-55807)

Good day,

mohiuddin;

If the indicator stays on then you may have an DM PCB problem and to correct this do the the folowing:

SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in.

CURE: replace C9B01, C9B02,C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 uFD 16V) on the DM PCB. Replace them with part # 181P734030 (680uFd 16V).

The DM Board (PCB) is located on the very left side of the TV looking from back. Caution on removing Board and note what cables you disconnect to access the Metal Shielded Board.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

When this type of Mitsubishi flases the timer light constantly it means The DM board has some power but has not booted up. This problem is becoming more common in these sets, There are Four capacitors that fail in the DM board but if your soldering skill are weak you may want to take this somewhere to get it fixed

Mitsubishi HD1080 TV will not turn on.

On my Mitsubishi WD65-613 it was 4 capacitors on the DM board. They are 1000mf 16v, replaced with 4 1000mf 25v. TV is working great.
