I didn't mention the fridge is only a week old. It has the ice and water on the left door with the ice maker in upper left side of fridge.

If you have a aoutomatic air difuser/damper it might be broken in the open position but is rarely that i have encounter that in the field try repl the thermostat is the unit runs all the time then that is why all is too cold . the unit should stop and take a break when it reaches 37% but if it doe not then is problably running to long also try cleaning the condenser coils they should be on the bottom of the refrigerator

Make sure you condensor fan is running. Our gets clogged up with dog hair sometimes and when the fan cannot run the fridge cannot cool.

I would first try replacing the control in the fridge. If that doesn't remedy the situation, I would try replacing the thermostat next.

Freezer is ice cold, but bottom isn't cold at all.

your fan motor that transfers cooling from the freezer to the fridge has gone out. What this fan does is maintain the temp of the fridge that you have set by pulling air from the freezer to meet the temp. To find this fan you need to look at the temp adjustment switch on the inside of your fridge. This will be located in a plastic tray assembly with vent slots cut into it. Right behind those vent slots lays the motor. Easy to remove take model and serial # to an appliance parts house for replacement.
Good luck hoped I helped you some

Refrigerator portion not getting real cold, freezer is ok.

I you have set the adjustment (if there is one and should be) on the fridge side to the colder setting, there may be an electrical issue with the control.

If there is not much in the fridge and you set it too cold, items will freeze.
Use a thermometer and make sure you have some items in there, test the temp.

You can just use a bunch of the ice pouches from a cooler to fill it up for this test, then see what it says the temp is, also check the manual you have or can get from the internet. It should tell you optimal temp.

More info on fridge is helpful, i.e. model number, mfgr date and so on.

I can't help but wonder if the light is staying on... :)

It certainly sounds like a door seal, but did they replace the thermostat, or is that what you mean when you say sensor?
