Eooo I have a cannon D860 and the error light came o and it has been unplugged for several days and it did not reset the machine can this problem be fixed for an inexpensive price or should I just junk it.

Check if there is any voltage fluctuations on the line. For clearing the error go to service mode and reset the machine. press additional function button followed by ID button ##sssw will appear on screen press < or > to scroll and select CLEAR & press OK button. press < or > to scroll and select ALL & press OK. PLEASE WAIT ALL will be displayed. Now turn off the machine wait for 3 seconds & turn on the machine. If still there is fluctuation the same 000 error will be displayed.
then you will have to correct your line and do the reset procedure again

  • Press "Additional Functions", press "#", then press the "Right Arrow" button till it says, "Printer"
  • Then press "Set" then press the "Right Arrow" button again until it says "Printer Reset"
  • Then press "Set" again, and the display will ask you "Yes" or "No"
  • Press the "Left" arrow for "Yes", then press "Set".
  • Now, unplug the power cord and wait 5 seconds and plug back in

That should clear the error. If it doesn't, get a new fuser.

I think that the only solution for this problem is a definitive reset.
To reset your D860:
Press Additional Functions key
Press #
Press > to #7 Printer Function
Press Set
Press > to #4 Printer Reset
Press Set
Press Unplug printer and repower it.

I have get system error in my copier now shows eooo what does it mean?


Solution: Disconnect and reconnect power cord to reset the device:
  1. At the device or at the electrical outlet, disconnect the power cord or adapter.

  2. Wait approximately ten seconds and then reconnect the power cord.

  3. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.

The machine was introduced in September 2004.

A E000 coeds means the error history has detected any one of the following error codes 4 times :E001;E002;E003.
The error can be cleared in the service mode.

That's was a miraculous!!!!! My canon Image Class D860 is brand new now after following the steps.

1. Hit Additional Functions Key
2. Hit # key
3. Arrow to number 7, Printer and hit Set
4. Arrow to number 4, Printer Re-Set and hit Set.
5. Yes, re-set printer (hit minus key - back arrow).
6. Unplug the machine and plug it back in.

This just worked for me on a D860
