When looking through the display screen the picture has a pink tinge. When reviewing the pictures they're definately pink in colour, especially the blues.

Try taking pictures and download them to a computer. Check the colors and evaluate the quality compared to what you have seen in the LCD display.
If the pictures are good and the colors seem to appear good on the computer, then some thing is either not adjusted correctly for the LCD or you may have a menu setting which is incorrect. Check all setting in the menus.
Test the camera again, and see what the colors look like in the LCD display.
If both the LCD display and the pictures on the computer are the same, then some problem exists in the camera, and may need fixing, or sell on a site such as Ebay for parts or repair as is.

I have a Nikon D200 camera. It's now 2 years old and I'm having difficulty with the auto focus. The camera focuses but it comes in and out and I have to depress the shutter several times to get it clear....

the auto focus works on the basis of contrast. If you aim your chosen auto focus square at an item that fills that square with only one color or shade of color light a blank wall or a solid blue sky the camera can't focus because it is trying to compare the contrast in order to focus the camera. try to make sure that you choose an item with contrast to aim your auto focus square on like someones eye and part of their cheek so the camera can see somre contrast to evaluate then focus. Obviously you depress your shutter half way to activate the auto focus let the camera do its thing keeping the shutter half way depressed move your field of vision to where you want it then fully depress the shutter to take the picture. the camera relys on seeing some contrast within your autofocus square in order to auto focus

LCD - Focus

DSLR camera was not made to be used as a point and shoot camera and you cant preview the shot before taking a picture. You are to use the eye piece to focus right. Also before taking a picture, push the exposure button just a little to let the camera focus right.

Lcd window all out of focus..like a cirsus mirror

Usually it is from a smudged lens. Clean the lens and is if that helps. If it is still out of focus check your zoom. Cameras have to types of zoom, optical and digital. Once you reach the max optical zoom the digital zoom kicks in. Digital zoom isn't that great quality because all it is doing is bring the dots in frame closer. If zoom is all the way in and still out of focus check to see what type of setting you are on. Even though you put it on auto there are cameras that have other settings while on auto that you can change the colors and other stuff like b/w, sephia, etc. If all else fails then I would have to say that your lcd is wearing down and needs to be replaced.

LCD screen has fine pink lines and is changing colors

The LCD might have developed a fault. First try and ensure that the flexible film kind of connector is firmly in place and not damaged. As a final resort the LCD is to be replaced. For spares requirement you can write to me. If it is under warranty pl.try the nearest Sony service center. Sivaram videolabs@gmail.com

Can't take picture with monitor off?

When the LCD display is "off" the focus mode is automatically switched to "Single AF" mode (since there is no way for the user to confirm that the proper subject is focused) and unless focus is locked the camera cannot fire. When the camera is in "Continuous AF" Focus mode the camera will take a picture whenever the shutter release button is pressed, wether or not the subject is in focus. You can take a photo with the monitor off, but the camera will have to lock focus before it can fire and will not respond as quickly as with the monitor on.
