Avg8 error uninstalling

I have installed Rising antivirus and no longer need avg8 and when tried to uninstall avg8 it fails with this message, -/ Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for registry value HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows:AppInit_DLLs: creating registry value....
Error 0x80070005
Any sugestion will be appreciated.

    try reloading avg8 then go for a uninstall sadly some programs are like a cancer and the only way is to format the hard drive.or you will have to pay for a program to remove it.be careful what you download.if you dont need it dont download it.

This is a common error that appear in windows operating sysetm.
reinstall the avg8 and then uninstalled it. if you cn't get the avg8 install the latest one and then uninstall it. it should take care the old one at the same time.

please uninstall it forcely by perfect uninstaller.Then delete all hp related folder from programe files.also try to install it after remove ur antivirus

it's an odd solution but it does work.... you have to reinstall avg 8.... then uninstall it.

try to download the avg8 from here and install it. then if you want to uninstall run uninstaller from controlpanel for avg8.

the avg8 should be able to remove avg7

folders,that's why you are not able to install it.
uninstall it completely.

u must have not properly uninstalled AVG properly, remove it from registry also. If you cant do it try any uninstaller software to remove avg completely

Cannot uninstall avg 8 completely


I have had AVG for a long time and it beats any antivirus i have ever had. but if you really want to remove it, use the add/remove programs, or go to the star menu, programs, AVG folder and select the UN-installer. once removed, then try again to install the new one. Make sure to select ( remove Virus Vault ) in the option when un-installing AVG.

If your still getting issues, go into C: and delete any remaing AVG system folders that may be left behind.
