How to get the unlock code for my KDC-W808 - Kenwood KDC-W808 CD Player

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.


Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

Sorry....KENWOOD codes are only available from the Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

If it's asking for a code then someone phisically put it in there. The unit comes unlocked from the factory. the only way to unlock it now is to get whoever put the code in there to unlock it or give you the code.

Unfortunately Kenwood codes are only available from the Main Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service who will connect a laptop to read the working code inside your radio`s memory chip (EEPROM)

it came with it when you bought it....or whoever sold it to you stole it if the original owner calls kenwood they willl work something out.

Get the serial number for you unit and call Kenwood in your country. They will have the codes on file.

your speakers probably cant handle the bass.,also they are probably full range speakers ,so hwen the base hits at the same time a voice is singing the woofer is vibrating to produce the basss,there fore distorting the highs and mids {or voice}.You need to add a seperate sub woofer.And puyt capicitossr on the full ranfge speakers to limit the bass..Rating please. :}
