Question about PC Laptops
My laptop is coming on but i am not seeing anything on the screen. i can make out a fade out line in the back ground. I was told may be it is the LCD screen and inverter. what do u think? And how can i locate the part to order it? urgent I also have an Acer Extensa 4620-4605 laptop that will not light up.. I have tried 3 different inverters, two different lcd screens and a new cable. I even replaced the motherboard, but my LCD will not light up. I think the inverters I bought were not good or the wrong ones. I have also checked lid switch. Any Ideals or where can a person buy a new 4620-4605 inverter. Certainly not at ACER.com. I can't find anything there. HELP HELP HELP
On your first laptop, If you see a faded image, it usually is the Inverter board. I have had great success buying from this company, great customer service:
If you don't see it on the website, call them.
You may have to copy and paste the link into your browser.
On the second laptop, It seems you have replaced all components that may be causing the problem.
I would hook up a monitor to test and see if your video out is working. That would narrow it down to the LCD and or the Inverter.
Then I would check the connection on the system board and the connection on the LCD screen where the cable from the system board plugs in. It is strange that you get the same symptoms after changing all those parts. Were the parts you use for replacement new? You may have receive DOA parts.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
