Sounds like your camera was dropped or something banged it and cracked your LCD screen.

You can look for a defective camera online and make one good camera out of the two, or if you let us know your model maybe we can get an LCD for you.

This is a catastrophic and known failure of older Toshiba sets, not much you can do, try to take out a retrospective extended warranty, wait a month and claim, good luck.

Generally an indication of an LCD failure. You can try reseating the LCD cable under the keyboard, see if it makes any difference. If no change, then replace the LCD

You have some cold solder joints on the PC board. Flux and re-flow all of the electrolytic capacitors connections..

Top half of screen doesn't show video, just menu


replace the main pcb also called the digital pcb.you also could have a defective address or
buffer pcb that feeds the top of the screen if the top is black.if screen is not black.replace the main digital pcb.where all video is done in
the tv.
