Black screen says multi(0) disk(0) rdisk(0) partition(2)\WINDOWS\system32

So far I see no problem. For some reason. you chose to boot Windows in safe mode. During that boot mode, the screen goes black and starts displaying lines of text detailling all the drivers it is loading. At the end of the process Windows will run in safe mode.
Try rebooting normally or rebooting to the last good configuration that worked.
If there are problems please be more specific.

My laptop turns on but when i enter my pc password it does not do anything it says strating up but it does not start up

First thing to try, start up in safe mode. When power on, keep tapping F8 key till text screen menu comes up. Choose Safe Mode.
You will see bunch of text on screen then it will take a while before asking you to log in. (2-3 mins?)
When logged in, do a system restore.
Start button, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore..
Choose to restore, choose a recent bold date when you know it worked, click Ok (or continue, forgot what it says there..) Let it do it's thing.
This will reverse any recent change that may have caused the problem.

If will not start again, then repost for more help.

My screen goes off when windows xp starts the boot process

Does the display come back at all?

Is it the same on an external monitor?

As soon as BIOS screen disappears press F8 multiple times until a text menu appears allowing you to to select SAFE MODE. Select SAFE MODE.

DO you get a display now?

Can you select 1024x768 resolution and get a display, if so, rebot and try a normal boot.

Displays work fine until After Windows splash screen appears...then unit goes dark on both LCD and External display... Tried fn F5 combination with no success.. Any suggestions??

I suspect a display driver problem - try safe mode. After powering on, start tapping on the F8 key about once a second. You should end up with a bunch of white text on a black background. Options will include "Safe Mode" and "Last Known Good Configuration......". You could try the latter as sometimes that's enough to get you to a desktop. If not then power off/power on and try safe mode. If this gets you to a desktop then it is likely a driver issue and further work will be needed to to get you fixed up. Please post back with your experiences.

Try starting in the Safe Mode; you can access a short menu using either F5 or F8 during the first few seconds after power on. That will load very little of Windows and you can troubleshoot from there.
You might first try booting again and recording the last lines of text as this may also be a clue to the problem.

Won't boot up

Turn the computer off. Turn it back on and press f8 at the beginning of the boot process. This should display a menu on the screen. Select safe mode. and see if the comptuer will boot up. If that doesn't work the operating system will have to be reloaded.
