Question about Samsung CLP-500 Laser Printer
Use the keys on the control panel to select the following menus: setup|maintenance|check others|transfer belt|reset then press [enter]. The LCD should read "reset now" and the printer will return to the ready prompt.
This assumes the error message you have is for the transfer belt near end and not the transfer roller itself (which is NOT part of the transfer belt, it's actually attached to the RH door as you look at the control panel).

On our HP printer, you go to MENU, CONFIGURE DEVICE, RESETS, RESET SUPPLIES. Just select which one you changed and tell it yes. Your printer may not be identical, but should be similar.
