Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player
Thanks for your help. I got a response from Sansa support that said, "To update your firmware follow the instructions below.
Click Here to Download Sansa Clip Firmware
MSC mode instructions:
1. Open "My Computer".
2. Turn off the Sansa Clip.
3. Put the device in Hold (move Hold button until orange is showing).
4. Press and hold the Center Button.
5. Plug the 30 pin connector into the device (be sure the USB is plugged into the computer).
6. Wait for the Sansa Clip drive(s) to show up.
To update your firmware follow the instructions below."
That fixed it; I didn't have to go on to the format command.
I think that putting the device in Hold might have made a difference because I had already updated the firmware.
Anyway, it works and I'm a happy camper.
Thanks again, Dawn
