Question about Air & Gas Compressors

1 Answer

Error code 5100

You sent me a response to this question, but now I can't locate it. Anyways... I've owned the printer about 3 months. Soon as I popped in the new ink tank, that error code came on. Printer won't operate at all now. I've only gone through a couple of ink tanks the whole time. Never owned a printer before, which may explain my ignorance. The reason I speculate the problem might be the waste ink absorber is because early on I wasn't aware of the icon that comes on when an ink tank's low. Started getting screwed up prints and didn't know the reason. Manual says to use the clean up option to correct this. So I probably filled up the ink absorber. But it's only now that the printer has decided to quit functioning. The manual also says that if it IS that ink absorber that's full, then machine won't operate and I have to have it serviced and can't fix it myself.

Being that it is only 3 months old i would have it serviced under the manufacturer warranty. 1-800-OK-CANON call that number and you can locate the nearest authorized service center and the service will be covered. If you still need assistance let me know. Please take a moment to accept and rate my original solution as I strive to provide fast and accurate service.
Thanks,
Lee

My D55141 heavy duty 2gal (7.6L) 150 psi max builds pressure up to around 150 releases pop off valve then keeps running, what causes this problem?

The pressure switch is either out of adjustment or has failed. The compressor should shut off at a much lower pressure than the safety valve (~100 psi)

The charger doesn't do anything. I've charged the charger then hooked it up to the battery (pos on pos, neg on neg) then tried to start the car. No reaction whatever. Is there something else I

It's possible you may have a poor connection from your car to your car battery. Check to make sure both battery terminals are on your battery tight. Tighten them if necessary, then try again. If either one was loose, that should fix the problem. Then there may be nothing wrong with your battery charger.

Sound like a bad receiver tank check valve. Located in top of the tank and the pop off valve is screwed into it. If check valve is good you need to remove the heads and check the finger valves. I believe you'll find your problem in the check valve

The pump used on your compressor was incorporated into different designs thus needed access to oil fill from one side or the other. Part number for oil plug was std-220 or 27642, but you can use just regular standard pipe thread plug with square head. If the oil plug fits the other hole. Buy plumbing parts at Lowes. Good Luck

I have a gas engine powered DeWalt compressor. I don't know about yours, but is there an unloader that you have to switch when you are starting?
Next, did you inform DeWalt, this unit is almost new(ly rebuilt) and they should take some responsibility for it.
You know, it could be that the motor has a starting problem, (bad capacitor, bad start winding system).

My compressor will not hold pressure. As soon as it airs up the pop value releases releasing all of the pressure. I've replaced the pop value and it did not fix it.

There should be a pressure regulator set to a certain psi make sure it is not set too low or the pop valve will release the remaining air for safety.
