Remove the two phillips screws in the dryer front at ankle hight. Pull front toward you and unhook from top. Leave wires connected. Heating element visible at lower right.

The element is at the bottom of the unit. Usually they are located on the right bottom but when you take the housing off, you will be able to see it.

How to Replace Heating Element from a Maytag Dryer?

The procedure is as follows:--- 1) First of all unplug the dryer from electric outlet for safety reasons.
2) Locate the vent hose on the rear of the dryer and disconnect this hose from dryer unit.
3) The hose is mostly fixed in a metal clamp and the metal clamp is fixed by the screw. Loosen the screw and remove the clamp and remove the hose.
4) The heating element is located in the cabinet.
5) In some models the cabinet is located at the rear of the dryer. And in some model its located in the front of the dryer.
6) Locate the heating element cabinet and remove the screws holding the cabinet.
7) You will see the heating element now. There are wires connecting on the sides of the heating element terminals. The wires are connected by removable connector.
8) Remove the connector carefully from heating element with the help of needle nose plier.
9) After the wires are removed from heating element’s terminals. Remove the screws holding the heating element.
10) The heating will have to be moved a bit to come out easily. Before removing the heating element out. Please note down the position of old heating element. So while placing the new heating element you don’t face any problem.

KENMORE DRYER JUST STOPPED HEATING UP WHAT CAN I DO TO REPAIR IT?

Replace the Heating Element. The heating element is usually located behind a panel on the back. To replace you will need to remove the back cover of the dryer, then locate the heating element. The heating element is screwed into place and is easy to unscrew and replace. Be sure to have the dryer unplugged while doing this.
Here is the part for it:

Stop drying

If it's still spinning, I think that you need a new heating element. Just go to the parts store with your model number (or, better yet, your old heating element) and pick up a new element, then install it. It's usually pretty easy (we did ours and neither of us are electricians). Make sure that your dryer is unplugged before you do anything.

That solution is for a situation where everything else is working: dryer is still turning around and so on. If the dryer won't turn on at all, that's a different problem. Good luck.

Doesn't get hot, runs fine no heat

It is possible that the heating element has burnt out or a high limit switch (safety device to prevent overheating) has gone out. Element is located at the bottom of the dryer on the oppisite side of the exhaust. Looks like a toaster coil. Any break in the coil and no heat. New elemenrts can be purchased at an appliance parts house with the serial and model numbers for your unit to ensure correct part.

My Bosch dryer spins but does not heat up. It is

Most likely it is the thermal switch that is located near the heating elements. This switch is the device that regulates the temperature. When it goes bad, it remains open usually. Short of a burned heating element wire, this is probably it. The only other thing it could be is the switch on the end of the motor. This switch turns on the heating element only if the motor runs. Check that too. Good luck.
