Question about Desa International 100089 06 Electric Chain Saw

1 Answer

Worn plastic drive gear

The plastic drive gear teeth are worn beyond functional use.
We live in Baja California Sur, Mexico, some 800 miles south of San Diego, California.
I would rather install the gear mechanism myself than pay some 'shop technician' to do the same thing.
What would be the cost of this component, plus shipping to an Arizona

Here is a link to the owner's manual... The part you need is 107713-01. You can order it online at or by calling 800-446-1446. They should have it in stock. I hope this helps.

Cutter roller moves up & down with a 'popping' sound. It seems as if a shaft bearing has worn out

You will have to open it up to have a look inside...favorite is that teeth go out of the plastic drive gears or a gear cracks completely...once you can see problem contact Royal at 1-800-524-0799 for parts assistance.

I swith the tire size of my rodeo and now its no the same on the 4x4 now it sucks it looks cool but now dont feel good thanks im from La Paz Baja California Sur , Mexico

Whn you change the tire size - you change the ratio of the drive train..

Also when you go with bigger tires - the ride will not feel as good because it will be a rougher ride and you will feel the road more..
And the vehickle will handle diferently..

You can allways change e'm back..

Hope this helps !!
Please rate me good ;o)

How to fix my odometer in 1991 plymouth acclaim

If the speedometer is working but not the odometer it's in the speedometer it's self. replacing the speedometer cluster is the easiest their available on ebay or your local salvage yard.
what happens is the trip odometer wears and sticks, theres a small motor on a circuit board with a plastic sun gear, inside the speedometer housing. it drives both the odometer and the trip odo
the teeth strip off the sun gear and odometer stops.

Plastic pieces on glass jar and base are worn out and shaved down

I did the same thing. Order parts at -- This problem is caused when you put the rubber gasket underneath the blade instead of above it. This causes two problems: 1. It lifts the teeth on the jar away from the teeth on the drive gear, which can grind down and break off the teeth, and 2. If the drive gear contacts the rubber gasket, it will melt the rim of the drive gear. In the future, to reassemble the jar after cleaning, first put the rubber gasket on the jar, then the blade, lastly screw on the base ring.

1997 yamaha timberwolf 4 wheel drive only front wheel drive work

check to see if driveshaft to rear is turning.if it is, either the ring gear & pinion gear in the differential are not making good contact either from being worn, or out of alignment due to worn bearings in differential case,or both.check if axle has back & forth play in differential, indicating worn beaings. also could be worn ring gear to axle contact in differential.check for vibration in axle while in gear increasing as you give it more gas, caused from ring gear teeth slipping past teeth on axle.they would have to be replaced together. oversize wheels & tires tend to accelerate axle/ring gear contact teeth.
