Question about Sony VPL-CS7 Multimedia Projector
I saw the following question from you back in 2007.
I just want to know if you manage to fix it, and if, how, since we now have the same problem.

The lamp cover is half open and half closed. I switch the projector on and the lamp indicator light flashes - the projector works for about 10 seconds and displays the output image on the wall but then the on/off button flashes green constantly and it stops projecting.
Is this easily fixed?
To reset the lamp timer:
1) With the projector plugged in and turned off, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button to put the projector in 'STANDBY' mode. NOTE: You have to press the button on the projector itself, you cannot use the remote for this step (this is not clear in manual).
2) Now, using the remote, press the following keys in order: RESET, <--, -->, ENTER.
3) Timer should now read '0'.

SOURCE: Lamp Cover will not close fully
Your lamp is not properly inserted.
The lamp door should close easily if your lamp is in correct.
If teh lamp door is not closed properly then the mashine will keep on shutting down.
