Press: [HDD LIST] (donĀ“t select a file) Press: [Play] Press: 159 12 12 12 005 255 (numbers appear in the display) Press: [Play] (unfortunaly a file is always selected) (2) Go into the main menu Highlight the exit button Type 2960 This should give you access to a hidden menu form where you can change the region code (No exit button to highlight, all menu say press HOME to exit) Thanks Bob

How to make my philips DVP3747 region free

Here is a hack that I've found to work on many Philips machines.

Turn on Player
Using Remote Control open the Disk Tray (and leave open)
Using Remote Control Press SetUp
Using Remote Control Scroll To Preference using Left / Right Arrow keys (Just Highlight it do NOT select it)
Using Remote Control Press 1 3 8 9 3 1

Region Menu Screen Should Appear

Using Remote Control Select Desired Region Using Up / Down Arrow Keys (0 [Zero] For Region Free)

Hope this helps.

Unknown disk type

Press 'Disc Menu' and wait for 'no disc' to appear on the screen. Eject the tray by pressing the 'open / close' button on front of the recorder. Enter the following numbers very slowly on the remote control ' 0086000 ' Press ' OK ' button on your remote control. Close the tray by pressing ' open / close ' button on the front of the recorder. You can check this has worked by pressing ' 0009 OK ' on your remote after the tray has closed. A display will pop up on screen showing the Region as 0. This means you should be able to play discs from all Regions. If this doesn't work the first time! try again! Hope this helps!!
