Question about Apple Computers & Internet
Hi - i have a latter G4 466 model G4 and need to install 1gb of ram so i bought 512mb low density ram for it (specified as compatible by the vendor) but it doesn't show up. Is there a firmware upgrade i can do to get the computer to see it? Please help - best regards Russ Pay
As long as the 512MB RAM chip is running at 133Mhz it should work, it may have compatibility issues with the other RAM in the unit. Try removing the other RAM first if it does not work after that you probably have a faulty piece of memory.
