Just go to setup by pressing f2, f10 or del key, change the boot setting by putting the hardisk at first then disable floppy as well.

if it works, good.

if not, re-istall windows.

Most likely cause is either Operating System is corrupt or the Hard Drive is failing/failed. To check the failure you would need to put the drive in a different computer and run a Drive check on it.

Take it to a computer shop. There is software available, but it is best to only use it when you have a high level of computer literacy. If this is you let me know and I will give you the software title.

THE SCREEN IS COUNTING DOWN AFTER TURNING IT OFF

Do a virus scan, I 've never seen a computer countdown after shutting it off. You may have a virus that once it gets to a point it may disable your computer .
You might even just go ahead and reinstall your OS before you can't do anything.

take out the chip and see if it works better, if it does, you have to put the same kind of chip in it as the one that is in it. make sure they bouth are the same. they have numbers on the get the same name, most poeople put in differant brands and they dont work well together.
