I have a Numark TT200 turntable and when unscrewing the tone arm assembly I noticed a broken black lead. The other three were intact (red green and white). How do I fix please?

Tone Arm acting as arial

A metal tone arm has a ground wire that connects it to the back of the stereo via the Turntable chassis. If this wire is broken (inside the deck of the turntable) or the ground to the stereo is not done, you can have this issue. No, the ground through the audio connectors is not sufficient.

Numark tt200 motor

The knocking sound is NOT normal, and you should not ignore it.

The tt200 is a HIGH TORQUE turntable, and as such is a highly accurate lathe for the accurately determined speed of the platter.

The lathe is in need of adjustment, which is recommended.
