My printer just stopped printing black and blue. The cartridges are full.
Performed all the printing utility procedures with the printing software. Un-installed the cartridges, cleaned and reinstalled.
Same result - red and yellow only.
Re: Black or Blue not printing - just red and yellow
Are you using geninue Microboards new cartidges or refills? If you are using the new Microboards ink carts, then you have a bad cartridge, or possibly a bad batch. Simply call Microboards tech support at 952.556.1639.

Remove all cartridges, clean the ink from where the cartridges make contact with cloth,(paper towels can leave trash in there) be sure all is clean then replace the cartridges and print something. Those streaks shouldn't be there any longer.
The magenta has run out (red). Replace the HP 22 tri-color cartridge. It probably has yellow and cyan (blue) left in it, and the black is most likely working as well, but if any of the 3 colors in the tricolor cartridge run out, the whole cartridge must be replaced. For instance, if I printed my vacation photos and there was a lot of water and blue sky in all of them, the cyan might run out long before the cartridge life expectancy. Also, don't forget that cartridges are rated in pages printed at 5% coverage. Since a photo is about 25% of a full page, a photo printed at full bleed (edge to edge) will only yield 32 4 X 6 inch photos from a cartridge rated at 160 pages (5X expected coverage = 1/5 the prints)
when the color cartridge has to make black, it uses all three colors. printing blue indicates that the color cart. is getting low on red and yellow. get a new black cart. and a new color, 'cause it' s coming due.
You are more than likely out of magenta (red) ink. That printer uses a tri-color cartridge, and it has cyan (blue) magenta (red) and yellow ink. Green is blue + yellow-therefore you do have those two colors; since it will not print anything red or black you will need to replace both cartridges.
Your problem is not of specially cartrigde but what you need is a special Paper which is made to print Photos and other colour full pictures. If you see is not this problem then there is chance that your cartridge is leaking from blue color point as there are three inks in color cartridge Red,Blue and yellow , than you need to replace you colou cartridge with new one .
Sorry your having this issue. Because Blue is a lite shade of Black, or a combination of red yellow and green ???? Point is even if you have only a black ink cartridge, or only color cartridge. Blue should be visiable and able to print.
Good luck, jasahasch
