Question about Ricoh FT3713 Copier

1 Answer

Ricoh FT3713 E54

Flashes E54 which appears (from searching web) to be "fuser low temperature on early EPROM"

I'm mechanically proficient but know nothing about copiers. What can I do about this and where do I get parts?

Also, is this a good machine? I inherited it and it is probably 15 years old. Has worked well for many years.

Thank You!

Sorry, not familiar w/that machine, but, low temp usually comes from the fuser unit (where the paper exits and the rollers get HOT).
All copiers have the same principals, my advice is to change the Thermistor in the fuser (it controls the temp)

one vendor that I use a lot is precisionroller.com

Ricoh ft3513 E-7 error code

The E tells you, it's an error. The 7 tells you what area to look in. My first guess is around the fuser and/or output assembly.

Ricoh ft 3813 error E54

E54 is a fusing error. You can attempt to reset the code by entering service modes. To do that, you press CLEAR MODES key, then the numbers 1, 0, and 7 and then hold down STOP key. Once in service mode, press 97 then #. That resets the code. Power the machine off then back on to see if it comes back. If it does, then you may need main board or AC driver board.

Ricoh ft3713 error code e54, where is the fuser and thermistor

You need a tech, or a new machine. The fuser is the heater section nearest the exit of machine - where they are always located. Your error message indicates a blown fuse, or lamp, or thermistor. The code can only be reset in service mode after the problem is fixed.
