My nokia 6220 classic wont let me send my text messages

It allows me to write the txt i press send but it does not send the msg, i am on contract.

    there is nothing rong with the message centre or anything liek that
    i rite the messege click send and it jus takes it to outbox and says sending at a later time and never ends up sending
    has anyone got a solution i really need help with this

    and yeh i have checked the central number aswell and still no hope there is nothing rong with the central number it just defers the sending to a later timethis has started to become a real problemm i really dont know what to do any more and becouse i cant text my bill came up to 987.98 pounds becouse i had to keeo ringin peaple in 1 monthplease can somoene help me i need it urgentlythank youuu

    im on o2 and today lost the sending sms gutted think it may be a fault on phone tryed factory reset service number the lot no joy

    O2 have advised it is an issue with the phone! to prove this i put my sim card in a differnt phone and it worked! sending phone into O2 to be repaired

Hi all, I had this problem myself today- the unit receives and makes calls, receives texts but can't send them other than to the outbox.

Please try this first before taking it to the repair centre- I did a soft reset which means to restore factor settings of the unit with the sim card in (it doesn't work otherwise)

1. ** IMPORTANT**Save all your contacts and photos, etc your storage card first!!
2. Make sure the phone is on the general profile (as opposed to offline, silent or other) then type in *#7370# on the keypad. It will tell you that the phone will reset/restore settings. Click the 'ok' option when this prompt is on screen.
3. After that, you'll need to reset time, date etc. Then just copy all your contacts etc back over to the main phone and done!

Sms central number?! Check it under sms settings, this has to be correct. Call the operator/ check with a friend / visit a mobile phone dealer

I can receive txt msg and make and receive calls on my nokia e65 but cannot send txt msg. Why would this be?

I think when you send text message it says message failed...right..???

This is because there is option in your mobile called as message service centre number.please check weather this number is correct.Call your service provider and you can get this number.

And also there is an option called as reply via same message centre please put this to 'NO'. now you can send messages

To go to this options please check follow these steps....
1.open 'menu'
2.open 'messages'
3.Go to 'message settings'
4.in that open 'text message'
5.there is an option called as 'message centre',please entre your new message centre number and save it. set this as your message centre
6.Check the option 'reply via same centre' and please put it to 'NO'

Cant send text messages but can recieve text messages.can make and recieve calls the phone is unlocked
Do a reset on the phone. Power down and then power it back up. If that is unsuccessful, you need to go into menu settings under message settings, then make sure that receive messages is set to allow.

My Nokia e51 wont send txt msg's, it used to be
there is a service center number in your message setting. if it is edited your messages wont go . correct service center can be taken from your service provider. if that is right the reset your phone once it will start working fine.

How can I use the messaging features on my Motorola phone? space.gif space.gif answer.gif To send a text message:
  • Enter your Message menu
  • Scroll to Create Message and Select

Phone freezes when trying to type a txt msg
Do you have too many text messages stored on your phone? I had a phone like that, If when I neared the storage limit it would stop allowing any entering of text messages. Just go to the menu button when your in the text message area and press the menu key, scroll down to cleanup messages, select it and delete them all.
