Well, long and short of it is that Nspire laptops that were sold as whitebox from ASI are really
Compal brand. you'll notice if you google compal cl-51 you'll find it. If it looks like this: http://www.wintecindustries.com/orderdesk/images/Product/15000/45620010_8409.gif then you have a compal laptop rebadged as an Nspire. These laptops support a maximum of 512MB per slot or 1GB total. Here is a link to purchase RAM for it. http://www.upgradecomputermemory.com/ram.cfm/memory/C/Compal/CL51

Or just google: Compal CL-51 ram Good luck

Please rate as it was not easy to find this solution ;)

Need memory

It is what it is, that is , there is no way to upgrade the memory of this machine. see: the specs. The memory is soldered in on the motherboard and no provisions to add. You can use a USB drive to store items on or a memory card.

What is the highest spec I can transpose my E6530

The RAM upgrade for your E-6530 is still available. Currently your laptop's memory is 64MB. It can be upgraded up to a maximum 512MB. Since your E-6530 has two slots, you may purchase 2 pieces of 256MB RAM to upgrade to the maximum capacity. Please check with the service centre for details on RAM purchase try looking here for hard drive upgrades

Adding Memory to HP Pavilion N5160

The motherboard will only recognize 256 module. If you go to crucial.com and run the memory test, it will tell you the maximum memory the motherboard will support. So buyin a higher memory stick is wasting your money since it will not support it.

Memory upgrade for laptop

Older laptops can be VERY fussy about the memory ... you have to have the exact same 'speed' .. I had a similar problem after trying to upgrade an old machine that took slow memory (PC100) with a FASTER (PC133) module ...

NB> Some VERY old machines would not take 'double sided' modules ... check the manufacturers specs ..
